breadboardhub (“breadboardhub”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is operated by 17145608 Canada Inc., a corporation organized under the laws of Ontario, Canada, with a registered office at Whitby, ON, Canada. 17145608 Canada Inc. is the entity responsible for personal data processed through breadboardhub.com (the “Service”).

This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

Section 1. Information We Collect

Account data: When you create an account through Clerk, we receive your email address, display name, and profile picture. We do not store or have access to your password; authentication is handled entirely by Clerk.

Content you create: Designs, articles, comments, and files you upload are stored in our database (Neon) and file storage (Cloudflare R2).

Payment data: When you subscribe to a paid plan, Stripe processes your payment. We receive limited billing information (such as your plan, billing status, and the last four digits of your card). We never receive or store your full card number.

Usage and technical data: We collect usage analytics through Google Analytics (such as page views, session duration, and device type) and error data through Sentry (which may include stack traces, browser metadata, and IP addresses). This data relies on online identifiers and is pseudonymous rather than anonymous. We and our hosting providers also process IP addresses and standard server logs to operate and secure the Service.

AI feature data: When you use the AI circuit generator or explainer, the prompt text you submit is sent to Anthropic to produce a response. Do not include personal or confidential information in prompts.

Section 2. How We Use Your Data

To provide, operate, and improve the Service. To display your public profile, designs, and other content you choose to make public. To generate AI circuits and explanations in response to your prompts. To send transactional emails through Resend (account changes and notifications you opted into). To process payments and manage subscriptions through Stripe. To detect, prevent, and respond to abuse, fraud, and security issues. To comply with our legal obligations.

Section 3. Third-Party Service Providers

We use the following providers, which may process personal data on our behalf: Clerk (authentication and user management), Stripe (payment processing), Anthropic (AI circuit generation and explanation, processes prompt text), Google Analytics (usage analytics), Sentry (error monitoring), Cloudflare R2 (file storage), Neon (database hosting), Vercel (application hosting), Resend (transactional email).

Section 4. International Data Transfers

We are based in Canada, and several of our providers store and process data in the United States and other countries. When you use the Service, your personal data may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in jurisdictions outside your own, including the United States. We rely on our providers' contractual and technical safeguards to protect that data. By using the Service you acknowledge this transfer.

Section 5. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and to remember your cookie choices, and optional analytics cookies. You can accept or decline optional cookies through our consent banner, and you can manage cookies through your browser settings. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Section 6. Data Retention

We keep your account data and content for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain records (for example, transaction and tax records, which we retain for 7 years) or where retention is necessary to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements. Public designs you have shared may remain available if other users have forked them, but they will no longer be associated with your personal account data.

Section 7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to withdraw consent for optional processing such as analytics. You can export your designs and delete your account at any time from Settings. To make a request, email privacy@breadboardhub.com. If you are in Quebec, you may contact our person responsible for the protection of personal information at privacy@breadboardhub.com. If you are unsatisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, the Commission d'acces a l'information du Quebec, or your local data protection authority if you are in the EU or UK.

Section 8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and you must be at least 13 to use it. If you are in a jurisdiction where the minimum age for data processing consent is higher (such as 16 in parts of the EU), you must meet that age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below these ages.

Section 9. Security

We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, authentication through Clerk, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. To report a vulnerability, see our Security page.

Section 10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email, and the “Last updated” date above will always reflect the current version.
